Tigers Rained Out, Make-Up Set for Thursday

NHL

The Capitals lost to the Sabres last night. Detroit and Washington remain tied with 82 standings points each in the battle for the final wild card playoff berth. The Wings have seven regular-season games remaining. The Capitols have eight.

NBA

The Pistons visit the Hawks tonight. 

Detroit boosted its injury-depleted roster by signing G-League guard Jaylen Nowell to a 10-day contract. He becomes the 31st Piston on the roster this year, tying the NBA record for most players employed in a season. Isaiah Stewart, Ausar Thompson, Quentin Grimes and Stanley Umude are all out for the season with injuries. Simone Fontecchio has missed the last eight games with a bad toe.

MLB

The Tigers and Mets were rained out last night. The game will be made up tomorrow afternoon, with coverage beginning at 12:45 on 99.3 The Lift.

In tonight’s game in New York, Casey Mize will face Adrian Houser. Coverage will begin at 6:45 on 99.3 The Lift.

The Brewers grabbed an early lead, and hung on to edge the Twins 3-2 in their home opener yesterday afternoon. Jackson Chourio singled home a run in the first inning. In the third inning, Christian Yelich homered, and Brice Turang doubled home a run. Jakob Junis gave up a run over four innings. Elvis Peguero got the win in relief.

That two-game series wraps up this afternoon. Joe Ross will start against Chris Paddack.
