MLB – Norris, Tigers Fall to Boston
Daniel Norris struggled, and the Detroit Tigers lost to the Boston Red Sox 7-2 last night. Norris gave up two runs in the first inning, two more in the second, and left the game with one out in the fourth, as the Red Sox scored again. Detroit’s only runs came on J.D. Martinez’ 30th home run of the season.

The Tigers continue that home set against the Red Sox tonight. Alfredo Simon is scheduled to start for Detroit, but that could depend on how his injured groin muscle feels. Wade Miley will pitch for Boston. Hear the first pitch at 7:08 on AM 1400 and FM 99.3 WCCY.

The Saint Louis Cardinals scored six runs in the fifth inning, and blanked the Milwaukee Brewers 6-0. All six runs were charged to Tyler Cravy, who replaced the struggling Kyle Lohse in the starting rotation.

The Brewers host the Cardinals again tonight. Wily Peralta will pitch against Jaime Garcia.

Milwaukee has brought third baseman Jason Rogers up from Colorado Springs. To make room for him, the Brewers removed utility infielder Hector Gomez from the 40-man roster, and sent him outright to the Sky Sox. Gomez could decline the assignment, and become a free agent.
