The Tigers gave up two late runs, and suffered a 6-4 loss to the White Sox last evening. Matt Manning struggled, giving up four runs on 10 hits over five innings. Detroit kept pace, though, with a bases-clearing double by Riley Green in the second, and an RBI double by Eric Haase in the third. The Sox took the lead with a run off Joe Jiménez in the seventh, and added an insurance tally off Andrew Chafin in the eighth.

The Tigers have dropped 10 of their last 12, and visit the White Sox again this afternoon. Tyler Alexander will start against Lance Lynn. Coverage begins at 1:50 on 99.3 The Lift.

After an 0-for-10 start in the majors, prospect Kerry Carpenter singled in the game for his first major league hit.

The Brewers held off the Cardinals 3-2 in 10 innings last evening. With the score tied 1-1, Milwaukee scored two in the top of the 10th. Hunter Renfroe tripled home Andrew McCutcheon, and scored on a sacrifice fly by Kolten Wong. Saint Louis scored one in the bottom of the 10th, but Matt Bush struck out Yadier Molina and Tommy Edman to end the game. Luis Urías homered for Milwaukee. Starters Corbin Burnes and Adam Wainwright put on quite a pitching display, with Burnes giving up a run on four hits over seven innings, and Wainwright allowing just three hits over nine frames.

The Brewers visit the Cardinals again this afternoon. Aaron Ashby will pitch against Miles Mikolas.
