Nicholas Castellanos scampered home as Pirates infielders settled for one out on what could have been an inning-ending double play. Joe Jiménez then worked out a bases-loaded jam in the bottom of the eighth. Shane Greene allowed two baserunners in the bottom of the ninth, but eventually earned his 21st save. Daniel Norris turned in an effective start, allowing two runs over six innings. It’s just the fourth win for Detroit this month.

The Tigers wrap up that interleague set at Pittsburgh tonight. Jordan Zimmermann returns from nearly a month on the injured list to start against Trevor Williams. Pregame coverage will begin at 6:40 on 99.3 The Lift.
