The National Football League will take no action against the Detroit Lions or new head coach Matt Patricia over an old sexual assault allegation against Patricia. Patricia was accused of assaulting a woman in a hotel room in Texas during a spring break trip in 1996, while he was a college student. He was indicted, but the case was dismissed when the accuser declined to testify. He says the charge was false. League officials say the team followed standard hiring practices, and that Patricia would not be subject to discipline because he was not a league employee at the time of the allegation.
