The Brewers fell to the Diamondbacks 5-1 yesterday. All of Arizona’s runs came in the final four innings. Raimel Tapia homered for the Crew.

• Superior Service blanked Superior National Bank 9-0. Josie Connors earned the win. Milly Loukus had two doubles and two singles for Superior Service.
• REL got past Gold Standard 12-8. Delaney Anderson was the winning pitcher. D’Andra Kero had two doubles and Hannah Asiala had a double and a single.

NHL
Former Red Wings goaltender Mike Vernon is headed to the Hockey Hall of Fame. Vernon spent the first half of his career with the Flames. He joined the Red Wings in 1994, and won a Stanley Cup with Detroit in 1997. He went on to play with the Sharks and Panthers, before finishing his career back in Calgary.
Former Wings’ captain Henrik Zetterberg fell short in this year’s voting.
