Tonight, the Bucks entertain the Hawks. Atlanta is up 1-0 in that series.

NHL

In the Stanley Cup semifinals last evening, the Canadiens edged the Golden Knights 3-2 in overtime. Montreal wins that series 4-2, and advances to the finals.

Tonight, the Lightning entertain the Islanders. That series is tied 3-3.

A former Chicago Blackhawks player has filed a lawsuit against the team, alleging that he was sexually assaulted by an assistant coach in 2010. The coach in question is Bradley Aldrich, who was later convicted of assaulting a Houghton High School hockey player in 2013. Chicago public radio station WBEZ reports that the former Blackhawks player says he notified the team of the incident, and that a second player also submitted a report, but the team did nothing. Through an attorney, Aldrich denied the charge, and the Blackhawks have also disclaimed responsibility. WBEZ also reports that the former Houghton player has filed a lawsuit against the Blackhawks, alleging that they knew of the incidents, but still provided favorable references that helped Aldrich obtain a job in the Copper Country. Aldrich was a volunteer assistant coach with the Gremlins when that assault occurred. He served time in jail, and was added to the Michigan Sex Offender registry.

MLB

José Ureña struggled again, as the Detroit Tigers lost to the Houston Astros 12-3 last night. Ureña gave up six runs on eight hits before leaving in the fourth inning. Tyler Alexander gave up two more in the fifth, and the Astros concluded the barrage when Yordan Alvarez hit a grand slam off Bryan Garcia in the ninth. Akil Baddoo had three hits for Detroit, including a pair of doubles.

The Tigers continue that home set against the Houston Astros tonight. Wily Peralta will pitch against Framber Valdez. Coverage will begin at 6:50 on 99.3 The Lift.

Miguel Cabrera missed his second straight game for Detroit, after leaving Tuesday’s contest with tightness in his right calf. He should be back in the lineup tonight.

The Milwaukee Brewers had yesterday off, and begin a home series against the Colorado Rockies tonight. Corbin Burnes will start against Jon Gray.

Brewers pitcher Zack Godley has cleared waivers after being designated for assignment. He’s been assigned to Nashville.
