Giancarlo Stanton and Byron Buxton homered for the American League. Stanton was named the game’s Most Valuable Player.

From the Detroit Tigers, legacy All-Star Miguel Cabrera pinch-hit in the fifth inning, and grounded out to shortstop. Gregory Soto entered the game with two outs in the bottom of the seventh. He walked a batter, then induced a ground-out to end the inning. From the Brewers, Devin Williams pitched the top of the seventh, and gave up a single, but no runs.

The Tigers resume play tomorrow with a doubleheader at Oakland.
