College Soccer

The Northern Michigan men’s soccer team plays at Wisconsin-Eau Claire tonight.

NHL

The Red Wings visit the Capitals for a preseason contest this evening. Listen for regular-season Wings games on 99.3 The Lift.

MLB

Last night’s Tigers game against the Royals was suspended in the top of the fifth inning because of rain. The Tigers were leading 4-0, with help from a Miguel Cabrera solo home run, and a three-run Tyler Nevin shot. That game will be completed this afternoon, and will be followed by the regularly-scheduled game between Detroit and Kansas City. The combined broadcast will begin at 1:05 on 99.3 The Lift.

The Brewers edged the Cardinals 3-2 last night. Tyrone Taylor had two RBI doubles.

The Brewers entertain the Cardinals again this afternoon. Corbin Burnes will pitch against Dakota Hudson.

Milwaukee has placed reliever J.B. Bukauskas on the injured list with a finger tendon injury. Ethan Small has been summoned from Nashville.

NFL

In tonight’s NFL game, the Lions visit the Packers. For Detroit, running back David Montgomery is listed as questionable with a thigh injury.
