Canal Run
Online registration for Saturday’s Canal Run continues through Thursday. This year’s events include a half marathon, a 10-mile run and walk, a five-mile run and walk, a two-mile fun run, and a kids dash after the other races have concluded. Late registration will take place Friday between 3:00 and 8:00 at the Finnish-American Heritage Center. To register online, and see the full schedule, click here.
Because of flood damage along the traditional course, races have been re-routed to end at McLain State Park this year. Participants and supporters are asked to park at First Apostolic Lutheran Church, two miles west of Calumet on M-203. Shuttle buses will run continuously between there, the starting points, and the finish line.
