NHL

NBA

The Warriors got past the Celtics 104-94 last night. Golden State leads the NBA championship series 3-2, with game six set for Thursday in Boston.

MLB

The Tigers fell to the White Sox 9-5 last night. Rony Garcia pitched into the fifth, was charged with four runs, and took the loss. Andrew Chafin gave up three more in the sixth, and Joe Jiménez surrendered two in the ninth. Willi Castro homered.

The Tigers host the White Sox again tonight. Drew Hutchison is being brought up from Toledo to pitch against Dylan Cease. Coverage will begin at 6:50 on 99.3 The Lift.

Along with Hutchison, the Tigers are bringing Tyler Alexander back from the injured list. Outfielder Derek Hill has been sent down to the Mud Hens, and pitcher Jacob Barnes has been designated for assignment.

Eduardo Rodríguez’ return to the Detroit rotation has been delayed, and no one is saying why. The Tigers placed Rodríguez on the restricted list yesterday, citing personal reasons. He’s in the first year of a five-year free agent contract, and had been recovering from a rib strain. While he is on the restricted list, he will not receive his salary, and will not count against the team’s 40-man roster.

The Brewers had yesterday off, and visit the Mets tonight. Adrian Houser will start against Chris Bassitt.
