Regular Twilight League Season Concludes Tonight – Tuesday Sports Wrap

MLB

The Tigers had yesterday off, and open a quick series at Minnesota tonight. Alex Faedo will pitch against Bailey Ober. Coverage will begin at 7:15 on 99.3 The Lift.

The Brewers also had yesterday off, and begin a series at Los Angeles tonight. Adrian Houser will start against Bobby Miller.

The Cubs and Reds were also idle yesterday, so Milwaukee’s lead in the National League Central Division remains at three-and-a-half games.

Twilight League

The Copper Country Twilight Baseball League wraps up regular-season play tonight…
• Craig Heinonen Coldwell Banker faces Houghton Building Supply-Stanton at the Stanton field.
• Regular-season champion Garnet Garage plays REL-Mohawk Technology at the Wolverine field.

The Twilight League playoffs begin Thursday, and will conclude Sunday. We’ll broadcast the championship game at 3:00 Sunday on KBear 102.3.

Golf

The Baraga County Next Gen Team will host a Glow Golf nighttime outing Saturday at the L’Anse Golf Club. Four-person teams will begin play a half hour after sunset in a nine-hole scramble, The cost is $300 per team. There will be good food, prizes for best golfers, along with the best-dressed team, and the best-decorated cart. To sign up, click here.

In the championship round of the Copper Country Horseshoe League tournament last evening…
• L and L eliminated Luigi’s Bar 7-2.
• Harter’s Party Store dispatched Calumet Electronics 7-2.
• Dreamland One blanked Eva’s Hideaway 9-0.
• Calumet One eliminated Bucko’s Party Store 8-1.

In the consolation round…
• Mohawk Superette downed Ahmeek Fire Department 6-3.

In the championship round tomorrow…
• L and L will face Harter’s Party Store at the Calumet Dam.
• Calumet One will play Dreamland One at Agassiz Park.
