LSPR Logo UndatedWith the future of its sanctioning organization in doubt, the Lake Superior Performance Rally will offer a different look this weekend. The event will open with a brief skills stage tomorrow afternoon at 2:00 at the Hancock Driving Park. It will close Saturday evening at 7:15 with a short stage along Lakeshore Drive in downtown Houghton. Spectators are invited to both events. Fans can also see the cars and meet the drivers during Parc Exposes tomorrow at noon at the Country Inn and Suites in Hancock, and Saturday morning at 9:15 at L’Anse Waterfront Park. The LSPR is the final event in what could be the last Rally America Championship Series. Four of the eight events in the series have withdrawn from Rally America, and will compete under the auspices of a new organization next summer. The LSPR is not one of them. Rally America has vowed to continue next summer, but has not said how it will replace half of its events. You’ll find full information about the rally here.

Calumet will try to clinch the WestPAC football title tomorrow night at Ironwood. Lake Linden-Hubbell puts its unbeaten record on the line Saturday afternoon at home against North Dickinson. Hear both games on KBear 102.3 and KBear102.com.
