Lions and Saints Cleared to Play – Sunday Sports Wrap

NBA

The Lakers face the Heat as the NBA Championship Series continues tonight. L-A leads the set 2-0.

NFL

The Detroit Lions host the New Orleans Saints in a 1:00 game today. The game was placed in doubt after Saints fullback Michael Burton received a positive COVID-19 test after the team arrived in the Motor City. A re-test, however, showed that the initial result was a false positive. The game will be played as scheduled, and will be broadcast on 99.3 The Lift.

Positive COVID-19 tests are wreaking havoc with the schedule…
• Patriots quarterback Cam Newton and Chiefs practice squad quarterback Jordan Ta’amu both tested positive. The New England-Kansas City game scheduled for today could be played tomorrow or Tuesday, depending on the outcome of further testing. The Patriots say an initial round of retesting uncovered no additional cases.
• The Titans game against the Steelers scheduled for today has been postponed to week seven. More than a dozen Tennessee players and staff members have tested positive.
• The Vikings have reported no positive tests since playing the Titans last week, and their game will proceed as scheduled today.
• To fill a television gap, today’s Bears-Colts game has been moved back to a 4:25 start time.

The Packers entertain the Falcons Monday night. Hear the broadcast on 99.3 The Lift.
