Polatowski, LeClaire Take CMC Top Boys Hoops Honors

Ontonagon’s Ed Polatowski has been named the Copper Mountain Conference Most Valuable Player for the 2018-2019 season. Brendan LeClaire from Dollar Bay-Tamarack City earned Defensive Player of the Year Honors.

The All-Conference Elite Team announced today includes Polakowski and LeClaire, along with Abe Gockenbach from Chassell, Ashton Janke from Dollar Bay-Tamarack City, Mason Saubert from Wakefield-Marenisco, and Tyler Busch from Bessemer.

Along with LeClaire, Janke and Gockenbach, the All-Copper Country Division first team includes Christian Hocking from Jeffers, and Carter Crouch from Lake Linden-Hubbell.

Members of the All-Copper Country Division second team are Elijah Soumis from Chassell, Brett Hill from Jeffers, Eli Luokkala from Republic-Michigamme, Davin Hill from Dollar Bay-Tamarack City, and Caleb Gregoire from Lake Linden-Hubbell. Honorable mention voted went to Connor LeClair from Dollar Bay-Tamarack City, Blade Warren from Chassell, and William Jondreau from Baraga.

Jesse Kentala of Dollar Bay-Tamarack City and Richard Matrella of Bessemer shared Coach of the Year honors.
