NHL
The Detroit Red Wings host the Washington Capitals tonight. Faceoff is at 7:30 on AM 1400 and FM 99.3, WCCY.
Former Wings greats Nicklas Lidstrom and Sergei Fedorov were inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame last night. They became the eighth and ninth members of the team that won the Stanley Cup in 2002 to be enshrined.
NBA
The Detroit Pistons got off to a cold start, and lost to the Golden State Warriors 109-95 last night. Detroit trailed by a dozen points at the end of the first quarter. They narrowed the gap to four points at the end of the third quarter, but couldn’t get any closer. Five Pistons reached double figures, led by Reggie Jackson and Stanley Johnson with 20 each. The Pistons continue their West Coast trip tomorrow night at Sacramento. Tip-off is at 10:00 on AM 1400 and FM 99.3 WCCY.
NFL
In last night’s NFL game, Zach Miller’s one-handed touchdown catch with a little more than three minutes remaining sealed the Chicago Bears’ 22-19 victory over the San Diego Chargers. If you played The Wolf Pro Football Challenge, you must have picked at least nine games correctly to be eligible to be our weekly winner.
The Detroit Lions have placed defensive tackle Andre Fluellen on injured reserve, which will end his season. Fluellen suffered a hip injury in Detroit’s London game. To take his place on the 53-man roster, the Lions claimed defensive end C.J. Wilson off waivers from Oakland. Wilson spent his first four NFL seasons with the Packers.
