The Northern Michigan University men’s basketball team will host Hillsdale College tonight.

Finlandia

Both Finlandia University basketball teams wrap up play at the Orlando Classic tonight. The women face North Park University at 5:00, and the men play Carleton College at 7:00.

NHL

The Detroit Red Wings will visit the Toronto Maple Leafs Saturday. Because of NFL football, coverage will begin at 6:40 on KBear 102.3.

Jimmy Howard is expected to rejoin the Wings in advance of Saturday’s game, after missing three weeks with an injury. To make room, goaltender Eric Comrie has been placed on waivers. Comrie was obtained from Arizona in a trade for defenseman Vili Saarijarvi after Howard’s injury. If no other team claims him, he’ll be assigned to the Grand Rapids Griffins.

NBA

The Detroit Pistons hit only six of 35 three-point shots, as they fell to the Toronto Raptors 112-99 last night. Andre Drummond led Detroit with 22 points and 18 rebounds.

The Pistons visit the Boston Celtics tomorrow. Pregame coverage starts at 7:05 on 99.3 The Lift.

NFL

MLB

Infielder Eric Sogard is returning to the Milwaukee Brewers. Sogard spent the 2017 and 2018 seasons with The Crew. He split time between the Blue Jays and Rays last season, and hit .290. Pending a physical, the deal is said to be worth $4.5 million for 2020, with a club option for 2021.
