High School
In girls basketball tournament semifinals at the Breslin Center…
• Ishpeming will face Fowler in one Division Four game today at 5:30. Frankfort and Kingston will meet in the other semifinal at 7:30.
• Negaunee will play Detroit Edison in a Division Two game tomorrow at 5:30. Grand Rapids West Catholic and Ann Arbor Father Gabriel Richard will play in the other semi tomorrow at 7:30.
NHL
The Red Wings entertain the Islanders this evening. Coverage will begin at 6:45 on 99.3 The Lift.
NBA
The Pistons lost to the Pacers 120-103 last night. Cade Cunningham led Detroit with 23 points and 10 assists.
The Pistons host the Celtics tomorrow, with coverage at 6:35 on 99.3 The Lift.
Detroit will finish the season without two key players. Rookie Ausar Thompson is undergoing treatment for a blood clot. Isaiah Stewart is recovering from a hamstring strain. The Pistons have 13 games remaining.
MLB Spring Training
The Tigers routed the Twins 12-3 yesterday. Casey Mize worked into the fifth inning, and gave up no runs on two hits. Carson Kelly, Matt Vierling and prospect Josh Crouch homered. Keston Hiura had three hits.
The Tigers will play the Mets today. Matt Manning will start.
The Brewers had yesterday off, and take on the Giants tonight. Wade Miley will start.
Opening day is a week from today.
NFL
Florida police have issued an arrest warrant for Lions defensive back Cameron Sutton. Authorities in the Tampa area say he’s wanted on a charge of battery by strangulation, following a domestic violence call involving Sutton and a woman on March 7th. His whereabouts are unknown. Sutton signed a three-year, $33 million free agent contract with Detroit a year ago, but his first season in the Motor City was disappointing.
