The Tigers lost to the Red Sox 4-1 yesterday. Spencer Torkelson singled home Detroit’s only run in the first inning. Matthew Boyd pitched into the fifth inning, giving up two runs on five hits.

The Brewers shut down the Cardinals 6-1 yesterday. Freddy Peralta gave up a run on four hits over six innings. Willy Adames and Christian Yelich each had three hits, including a home run.
The Brewers visit the Diamondbacks tonight. Wade Miley will start against Zac Gallen.
