NHL

The Detroit Red Wings have lost eight straight, and entertain the Philadelphia Flyers tonight. Coverage begins at 7:10 on 99.3 The Lift.

Andreas Athanasiou is expected to rejoin the team for tonight’s game, after missing a month because of injury. Filip Zadina is headed to the injury list, and is likely to miss at least two weeks. He was hurt in Friday’s game, and tried to play through the lower-body injury Saturday, but it got worse.

NBA

The Detroit Pistons overcame a 21-point deficit, and defeated the Denver Nuggets 128-123 in overtime yesterday afternoon. Andre Drummond had 21 points and 17 rebounds.

The Pistons visit the Memphis Grizzlies tonight.

NFL

The Kansas City Chiefs rode three fourth-quarter touchdowns to a 31-20 come-from-behind victory over the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl last night. K-C quarterback Patrick Mahomes overcame two early interceptions to be named Most Valuable Player.
