NBA
The Detroit Pistons lost their fourth straight game last night, falling 98-86 to the Memphis Grizzlies. Jon Leuer and Reggie Jackson each scored 18 for Detroit, although both were involved in some adventures. Leuer was supposed to have made his first NBA start in the game, but was held back after being involved in a car crash on the way to the Palace. He suffered just cuts and bruises, but his car was nearly totaled. The other car was totaled, and its driver was ticketed. Jackson left the game in the first quarter after feeling a twinge in his balky left knee. A locker room examination revealed no problem, and he returned to the game. Marc Gasol scored a career-best 37 points for the Grizzlies. The Pistons entertain the Golden State Warriors tomorrow night.
