Pistons Add Point Guard – Tuesday Sports Wrap

MLB – All Star Game Tonight
The Tigers and Brewers are both off until Friday, for the All-Star break. The All-Star game will be played tonight in Cincinnati. The Tigers will send outfielder J.D. Martinez, shortstop Jose Iglesias, and pitcher David Price. First baseman Miguel Cabrera was voted into the starting lineup, but is on the disabled list.

The Brewers will be represented by reliever Francisco Rodriguez, and outfielder Ryan Braun.

Todd Frazier of the hometown Reds won last night’s Home Run Derby, edging out Dodgers rookie Joc Pederson 15-14 on his final swing.

Pistons Add Blake
The Detroit Pistons added some depth at point guard by obtaining veteran Steve Blake from the Brooklyn Nets yesterday. In 12 seasons in the league, this will be Blake’s ninth team. He’ll provide some insurance as Brandon Jennings recovers from Achilles tendon surgery. In exchange, Detroit sent forward Quincy Miller to the Nets.
