Alex Lyon made 21 saves, and took the loss in goal. Erik Karlsson netted the game-winner 100 seconds into overtime, and Sidney Crosby earned his 1,000th career assist.

The win boosted Pittsburgh into the lead among teams scrambling for the final Eastern Conference playoff berth. The Penguins have 86 standings points. The Wings visit the Maple Leafs tomorrow evening. Coverage begins at 6:45 on 99.3 The Lift.

The Pistons set an unfortunate team record last night, with a lopsided 127-105 loss to the Bulls. While Cade Cunningham continued to rest his aching knee, Jalen Duren led Detroit with 20 points and 11 rebounds.

The Pistons wrap up their season with games at Dallas tonight, and San Antonio Sunday.
