Former Michigan Tech hockey defenseman Mitch Reinke made his NHL debut last night, logging 13 minutes of ice time as his St. Louis Blues lost to the Arizona Coyotes 6-0. Reinke had one shot on goal, and blocked two shots.

The Detroit Tigers were rained out yesterday, and will conclude their interleague series against the Pittsburgh Pirates with two games today. In the first game, Michael Fulmer will start against Trevor Williams. Pregame coverage will begin at 12:45 on 99.3 The Lift. Faced with six games in the next five days, the Tigers have not yet announced a starter for the second contest. Pregame coverage will begin at 5:45.
The Milwaukee Brewers moved to 3-0 on the season with a 7-3 victory over the San Diego Padres yesterday. Christian Yelich had five hits, scored three runs, and drove in two. Brent Suter gave up three runs over five innings. The Brewers have a rare Sunday off, as they prepare to host the St. Louis Cardinals in their home opener tomorrow.

The Detroit Red Wings won their third straight game yesterday, blanking the Ottawa Senators 2-0. Jimmy Howard stopped 31 shots to earn the shutout. Dylan Larkin and Andreas Athanasiou scored. The Wings visit the Columbus Blue Jackets Tuesday night. Pregame coverage begins at 6:40 on 99.3 The Lift.

The Detroit Pistons won their fourth straight game yesterday, 115-109 over the Knicks in New York. Playing without the injured Blake Griffin, Andre Drummond led Detroit with 22 points and 17 rebounds. The Pistons visit the Brooklyn Nets tonight.
The Pistons have confirmed that Griffin will miss at least two more games before a medical re-evaluation later this week. Griffin suffered a bone bruise in his ankle during Monday night’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Former Green Bay Packers receiver and special teams standout Jeff Janis has signed a free agent contract with the Cleveland Browns.
