Patriots Win (Another) Super Bowl – Monday Sports Wrap

High School
In high school basketball tonight, the Lake Linden-Hubbell gym is doing double duty, accommodating a couple of make-up games.
– The girls game against Hancock originally postponed from January 24th will start with the JV contest at 4:15, and the varsity at 5:45 – both in the high school gym. The Gwinn at Hancock game originally scheduled for tonight has been moved to tomorrow night.
– The boys contest against Bessemer postponed from Friday night will begin with the JV contest at 5:45 in the elementary gym, with the varsity game at 7:30 in the high school gym – postponed to tomorrow.

In other boys action tonight, L’Anse travels to Ishpeming – postponed to 2/21.

In other girls action this evening…
– Houghton entertains Marquette – postponed TBA.
– Jeffers welcomes Bessemer – postponed to tomorrow.
– Chassell hosts Republic-Michigamme – postponed TBA.
– L’Anse entertains West Iron County – postponed to tomorrow.
– Ewen-Trout Creek tips off at Ontonagon.

Finlandia
Both Finlandia University basketball teams will host Bay College tonight. The women’s contest starts at 5:30, with the men’s game at 7:30 at the Paavo Nurmi Center – postponed to February 18th.

NBA
The Detroit Pistons entertain the Denver Nuggets this evening. Pregame coverage begins at 6:35 on 99.3 The Lift.

NHL
The Detroit Red Wings are off until Thursday, when they host the Vegas Golden Knights. Pregame coverage will start at 7:10 on 99.3 The Lift.

NFL
The New England Patriots defeated the Los Angeles Rams 13-3 in the Super Bowl. Receiver Julian Edelman was named the game’s Most Valuable Player.

Our high school basketball coverage continues tomorrow, when the Chassell boys play at Calumet. The pregame show will start around 7:00 on KBear 102.3 and KBear102.com.

Our Finlandia University hockey coverage continues Saturday night, when the Lions men’s team entertains St. Norbert College. The pregame show will start at 6:40 on 99.3 The Lift, and 993TheLift.com.
