NFL
The Detroit Lions gave up 24 points in the fourth quarter yesterday, and lost to the Baltimore Ravens 40-22. Detroit trailed 20-0 at halftime, then scored 13 points in the third quarter to tighten the score before falling apart down the stretch. Quarterback Matthew Stafford was sidelined late in the game with pain in his throwing hand. X-rays showed no broken bones, and speculation is that it’s some sort of nerve problem.

The Green Bay Packers squandered a 10-point lead, but eventually defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 26-20 in overtime. Brett Hundley passed for only 84 yards, but engineered a long late drive that led to the game-tying field goal. Aaron Jones’ 20-yard touchdown run sealed the victory.

In last night’s game, the Seattle Seahawks shut down the Philadelphia Eagles 24-3.

Tonight, the Pittsburgh Steelers visit the Cincinnati Bengals. Hear the broadcast on 99.3 The Lift.

Our Finlandia University coverage continues Friday, when the Lions women’s hockey team entertains Concordia-Moorhead. The broadcast will begin around 7:00 on 99.3 The Lift, and 993TheLift.com.
