The Tigers remain seven games behind the Indians. Any combination of seven Cleveland wins or Detroit losses clinches the American League Central Division title for the Indians. Wily Peralta gave up just one run over six innings, as the Milwaukee Brewers shaded the Chicago Cubs 3-1 yesterday. Chris Carter homered.

The Brewers also have today off. They’ll host the Pirates tomorrow night.
