NFL
The Detroit Lions lost to the Los Angeles Rams 30-16 yesterday. The game was close until Matthew Stafford was stripped of the ball in the fourth quarter, and the Rams capitalized to score a touchdown. The Lions have been eliminated from contention for a district title for the 25th consecutive season.

The Green Bay Packers fell to the Arizona Cardinals 20-17 yesterday. Mason Crosby missed a 49-yard field goal attempt that would have tied the game at the end of regulation. After the game, the Packers fired Mike McCarthy after nearly 13 seasons as head coach. President and Chief Executive Officer Mark Murphy thanked McCarthy for his contributions over that term, but said this year’s team had not lived up to expectations. Offensive coordinator Joe Philbin has been named interim head coach. He was head coach of the Miami Dolphins from 2012 to 2015.

In last night’s game, the Los Angeles Chargers kicked a 53-yard field goal with no time remaining, and edged the Pittsburgh Steelers 33-30.

In tonight’s contest, Washington plays at Philadelphia. Hear the broadcast on 99.3 The Lift.

The final edition of our award-winning KBear 102.3 Deer Hunters Roundup will air this evening at 6:00. If you had a successful hunt, upload the information and pictures by noon today at KBear102.com, and you could win a prize.
