The Finlandia university women’s hockey team fell 7-3 at Marian University yesterday.
The Finlandia women’s basketball team lost to Lakeland College 90-78 yesterday. Geoff Smart led the Lions with 25 points.
NHL
The Detroit Red Wings will host Montreal this afternoon at 3:00. Hear the broadcast on AM 1400 and FM 99.3, WCCY.
NBA
The Detroit Pistons broke their three-game losing streak with a 102-97 victory over the Lakers at Los Angeles last night. Tobias Harris’ three-pointer with 30 seconds remaining sealed the win. Marcus Morris led Detroit with 23 points.
NFL
The Green Bay Packers advanced to the NFC Championship Game with a 34-31 victory over the Dallas Cowboys yesterday. The Packers built a 15-point lead by the end of the third quarter, but needed two long Mason Crosby field goals in the final two minutes to survive a furious Dallas rally. The Packers will face the Atlanta Falcons Sunday afternoon at 3:05. The Patriots will host the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC title game Sunday at 6:40.
