NFL
Missed extra point attempts helped the Detroit Lions hold off the Carolina Panthers 20-19 yesterday. Detroit led 13-7 after three quarters. Carolina scored a touchdown early in the fourth quarter to tie the game, but missed the bonus kick. The Lions reclaimed the lead on a Matthew Stafford to Kenny Golladay touchdown pass with about five minutes remaining. The Panthers found the end zone with a little more than a minute to go, and elected to go for the win instead of the tie. Cam Newton’s pass for the two-point conversion was incomplete.

In last night’s contest, the Chicago Bears defeated the Minnesota Vikings 25-20.

In tonight’s game, the Kansas City Chiefs visit the Los Angeles Rams. Hear the broadcast on 99.3 The Lift.
