College Basketball

The Michigan Tech women’s team rode a strong second half to a 71-66 victory over Winona State yesterday. The Huskies trailed by nine at halftime. Kendall Standfest had 16 points and 11 rebounds.

NHL

The Red Wings fell 5-4 to the Canucks in overtime yesterday. Jake DeBrusk’s game-winner against Ville Husso completed a hat trick. Husso was in net because starter Cam Talbot left the game with a lower body injury in the second period. He’ll be evaluated today. With Alex Lyon also hurt, Detroit will need to bring someone up from Grand Rapids to back up Husso.

The Wings visit the Bruins tomorrow, with coverage beginning at 6:45 on 99.3 The Lift.

NBA

The Pistons entertain the Bucks tomorrow.

NFL

In a driving snow storm at last night’s NFL game, the Bills routed the 49ers 35-10, and clinched the AFC East title.

In tonight’s contest, the Browns visit the Broncos, with pregame at 7:30 on 99.3 The Lift.

Scrambling to fill gaps in their defense caused by a rash of injuries, the Lions have added former All-Pro safety Jamal Adams to their practice squad. Adams began this year with the Titans, but recently asked to be released from his contract after receiving limited playing time, and then suffering an injury.
