The Northern Michigan University hockey team will not open its season tonight. The Wildcats were scheduled to host Lake Superior State. Positive COVID-19 tests have forced them to cancel their first six games of the season, including tonight’s contest, and this weekend’s games against Michigan Tech.

The Michigan Tech men’s basketball team is ranked eighth in the Midwest Region in the preseason poll by the Division II Sports Information Directors Association. Ferris State University is ranked first in the Midwest Region, and 11th nationally.
NFL
The Lions will host the Texans in the first of tomorrow’s Thanksgiving NFL games. Kickoff is at 12:30 on 99.3 the Lift. Receiver Kenny Golladay did not take part in practice yesterday, as he continues to deal with a hip injury. Running back D’Andre Swift was a limited participant. He’s going through the NFL’s concussion protocol.
The Cowboys entertain Washington in the 4:30 contest. The Steelers host the Ravens in tomorrow night’s game, which will also be aired on 99.3 The Lift.
