College Basketball
The Michigan Tech men’s basketball team pounded Finlandia 103-35 last night. Seven Huskies scored in double figures, led by freshman Nate Abel with 13. Tech led by 40 at halftime. The 35 points is the fewest ever allowed by a Huskies team.
The Lions will host Maranatha Baptist tonight.
NBA
The Pistons defeated the Timberwolves 135-118 last night. Saddiq Bey led Detroit with 31 points, and Bojan Bogdanovic added 27.
The Pistons host the Pelicans tomorrow. Coverage will begin at 6:35 on 99.3 The Lift.
NHL
The Red Wings entertain the Maple Leafs tonight. Coverage will begin at 6:45 on 99.3 The Lift.
MLB
The field at Comerica Park will be a bit smaller next summer. Yesterday, the Tigers announced plans to bringing the fence in by 10 feet in center field, and lowering the wall from center around to the foul line in right field from as high as 13 feet to seven feet. The changes will still leave Comerica as the third-largest field in the majors.
