At the Thanksgiving Classic at the University of Southern Indiana yesterday, the Michigan Tech women’s basketball team handed the host team its first loss of the season yesterday, 79-61. The Huskies turned a six-point halftime lead into a 22-point advantage at the end of the third quarter. Brenna Heise led Tech with 24 points. The Huskies fell to ninth-ranked Bellarmine 78-62 on Saturday.

The MTU men’s basketball team will play at Concordia-St. Paul tonight.

Finlandia
The Finlandia women’s basketball team defeated Carroll University 77-68 yesterday. The Lions connected on 16 three-pointers. Mikayla Hakala hit five of those, and led the team with 17 points. Kelsie Richards added 14 points, and grabbed 13 rebounds. The Lions fell 82-52 to Calvin College Friday night.

The Finlandia men’s hockey team lost 8-1 at Wisconsin-Superior Saturday night. Chuck Marcoe scored the Lions’ only goal. Alec Rounds made 32 saves, as the Lions were outshot 40-18.

The Detroit Red Wings host the Dallas Stars tomorrow night. Faceoff is at 7:30 on AM 1400 and FM 99.3, WCCY.

The Detroit Pistons play at Charlotte tomorrow night..

NFL
The Green Bay Packers will play at Philadelphia in the Monday night game tonight. Five Packers will miss the game because of injury, but cornerback Damarious Randall and linebacker Jake Ryan could be back in the lineup. See the injury report here. Hear the broadcast on AM 1400 and FM 99.3, WCCY.
