• The men built a halftime lead, then held on for a narrow 77-76 triumph. Adam Hobson scored a career-high 22 points. His late free throw proved to be the game-winner, when the Wildcats sank a half-court three-pointer at the buzzer. Owen White chipped in 15.

NBA

The Detroit Pistons’ losing streak reached nine games last night, with a 114-103 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Pistons led by as much as 16 points in the third quarter, but the Thunder outscored them by 20 in the fourth quarter. Cade Cunningham scored 28 points for Detroit, and grabbed 11 rebounds.

The Pistons host the Washington Wizards tomorrow. Coverage will begin at 6:35 on 99.3 The Lift.

NHL

The Detroit Red Wings host the Nashville Predators tonight. Coverage will begin at 6:45 on 99.3 The Lift.

Detroit will be without defenseman Marc Staal, who has been placed on the COVID-19 list. It’s not yet known how many games Staal will miss. He joins Tyler Bertuzzi on the sideline. Bertuzzi will miss at least the next three games, after testing positive. Danny DeKeyser is set to return from COVID-19 protocol tonight. He also tested positive, but says he experienced no symptoms.

Gustav Lindstrom will also miss tonight’s game because of a lower-body injury he suffered Saturday. Dan Renouf has been called up from Grand Rapids to fill in.

NFL

In last night’s contest, the New England Patriots got past the Buffalo Bills 14-10. On a windy night, the Patriots attempted just three passes.

If you played The Wolf Pro Football Challenge, you must have selected at least 10 games correctly to be eligible to become our weekly winner.

The Green Bay Packers may be without backup quarterback Jordan Love Sunday night. Love was placed on the COVID-19 list yesterday. That means he has either tested positive for the virus, or has been in close contact with someone who has.
