A Michigan Tech alumnus has been named chair of the Michigan Natural Resources Commission. John Matonich has a degree in land surveying from Michigan Tech. He was appointed by Governor Rick Snyder on Friday. Matonich is in his sixth year as a member of the Commission, and had been serving as the chair of the Policy Committee on Wildlife and Fisheries. He is chairman and CEO of ROWE Professional Services Company, a firm specializing in professional engineering, surveying, planning, landscape architecture and aerial photogrammetry.
