MLB
The Detroit Tigers’ late comeback bid fell short last night, as they lost 7-6 to the Minnesota Twins. The Twins scored six runs off Casey Mize over the first five innings, then added one off Nick Ramirez in the bottom of the sixth. That proved to be the game winner, as Detroit scored three in the top of the sixth on Miguel Cabrera’s first home run of the night, and then made it close when Cabrera hit another three-run shot in the top of the ninth.
The loss officially eliminated the Tigers from playoff contention.
