MLB: Tigers Outslug Twins
The Tigers scored seven runs in the third inning, and held on to beat the Twins 12-9 on Saturday. Eugenio Suarez homered and doubled in the inning, and Victor Martinez added his 17th home run of the season. Anibal Sanchez earned the win. He was charged with three runs over 6-1/3rd innings. The Tigers’ leaky bullpen gave up the other six runs.

Brewers Nip Reds Late
The Brewers scored two runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to beat the Red 4-2. Milwaukee had taken a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the seventh… only to see Cincinnati tie the game in the top of the eighth. Ryan Braun put the game away with a two-run homer.

The Brewers wrap up that home set against the Reds this afternoon. Marco Estrada will start against Mike Leake.
