MLB – Tigers Return Tonight
The Detroit Tigers had yesterday off, and open a series against the Cubs in Chicago tonight. Anibal Sanchez will start against Jason Hammel. Hear the first pitch at 8:05 on AM 1400 and FM 99.3 WCCY.

Catcher Bryan Holaday will likely miss the rest of the season, after hurting his thumb in a home plate collision in a Toledo Mud Hens game last night. Holaday spent all of last season as Detroit’s backup catcher. He lost that job to James McCann this season, and has spent most of the summer in Toledo.

The Milwaukee Brewers lost to the Miami Marlins 6-2 last night. Matt Garza gave up five runs over five innings to take the loss.

Former Milwaukee manager Ron Roenicke has been hired as the third-base coach for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Roenicke was dismissed by the Brewers a month into the season after the team got off to a slow start.

The Brewers host the Marlins again tonight. Tyler Cravy will pitch against Adam Conley.

Forgotten Eagles Golf Outing Scheduled
Forgotten EaglesThe Forgotten Eagles will hold a golf outing a week from Saturday at the Calumet Golf Club. The two-person, 18-hole scramble will begin with a shotgun start at 10:00. The cost is $25.00 per person, which includes a picnic lunch. Jim and Teri Enrietti will provide live music. You can sign up at the clubhouse. Proceeds will support Forgotten Eagles programs to benefit veterans and active servicemen and women.

Ottawa Sportsmen's Club PatchSign-Up for Hunter Safety Class
Tonight is the final opportunity to sign kids up for an upcoming Hunter Safety Class offered by the Ottawa Sportsmen’s Club. The class will be held next Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday. Registration will be open tonight between 6:00 and 9:00 at the clubhouse on M-38, just west of Pelkie.
