NBA

The Pistons opened their season with a 103-102 loss to the Heat last night. Cade Cunningham led Detroit with 30 points, but missed a long three-pointer in the final second that would have won the game. Isaiah Stewart and Jalen Duren each grabbed 14 rebounds.

The Pistons visit the Hornets tomorrow. Coverage will begin at 6:35 on 99.3 The Lift.

NHL

The Wings entertain the Maple Leafs tonight. Because of NFL football on 99.3 The Lift, we’ll join the game in progress after Houghton volleyball on KBear 102.3.

MLB

The Brewers have given the Mets permission to begin talking with Craig Counsell about the open managerial position in New York. Counsell’s contract with Milwaukee doesn’t expire until the end of the month. Brewers’ officials have expressed hope that he’ll stay with the team, but he’s been linked with the New York job because former Milwaukee President of Baseball Operations David Stearns recently accepted a similar position with the Mets.

NFL

The Buccaneers visit the Bills in tonight’s NFL game. Coverage will begin at 7:30 on 99.3 The Lift.

Please have your picks in The Wolf Pro Football Challenge turned in by noon today at one of our sponsors.
