Dominik Kubalik’s goal in overtime lifted the Red Wings to a 3-2 victory over the Rangers yesterday. New York took an early 2-0 lead. Tallies by Matt Luff and Pius Suter tied the game in the second period. Alex Nedejkovic made 27 saves.

The Wings will host the Canadiens tomorrow. Coverage will begin at 6:45 on 99.3 The Lift.

The Pistons entertain the Thunder tonight.

Yesterday…
• The Lions stunned the Packers 15-9. Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers threw for one touchdown, but also tossed three interceptions. Detroit quarterback Jared Goff completed just 14 of 26 passes, but found the end zone twice. The much-maligned Lions defense stopped a last-minute Packers drive in the red zone to preserve the win.
• The Chiefs edged the Titans 20-17 in overtime in the Sunday night contest.

Tonight, the Ravens visit the Saints on 99.3 The Lift.

Skiing

The Mont Ripley Race Team will hold a meeting tonight for parents who are interested in having their kids join the program.

The team is a volunteer organization dedicated to the development of affordable youth alpine ski racing in the Keweenaw. Children as young as age six can participate.

Tonight’s session begins at 6:30 at the Mont Ripley chalet. Organizers will be going over the schedule including practices and races, costs, and needed equipment.
