The Detroit Pistons’ offense went cold again last night, as they lost to the lowly Philadelphia 76ers 97-79. Stafford

NFL
Matthew Stafford led yet another fourth quarter comeback drive, as the Detroit Lions edged the Chicago Bears 20-17 yesterday. Playing with a glove to protect an injured finger on his passing hand, Stafford threw two interceptions. With three-and-a-half minutes remaining he completed a 76-yard scoring drive by running the ball into the end zone from seven yards out. The Lions remain two games ahead of the Packers and Vikings in first place in the NFC North Division.

Stafford will probably need the glove for the rest of the season. The injury is described as a dislocation of the middle finger on his throwing hand, with some torn ligaments. It happened during a broken play late in the first quarter.
