The Red Wings host the Jets tomorrow. Coverage will begin at 6:45 on 99.3 The Lift.

The Wings have sent Elmer Söderblom back down to the Grand Rapids Griffins. That opens up one of the roster spaces Detroit will need, with Tyler Bertuzzi and Filip Zadina expected to return from injuries in a few days.

NFL

In the NFL last evening, the Lions edged the Packers 20-16. Jamaal Williams’ one-yard run with six minutes remaining provided the game-winning touchdown against his former team. The win by Detroit gave the Seahawks the final NFC wildcard playoff berth, after Seattle defeated the Rams 19-16 in overtime.

If you played The Wolf Pro Football Challenge, you must have selected at least 13 games correctly to become our final weekly winner.

The loss by the Rams gives the Lions the sixth pick in the next NFL Draft. Detroit got the pick from L.A. in the Matthew Stafford trade. Detroit’s own first-round pick will be number 18. Green Bay will have the 16th pick in the first round. The number-one selection goes to the Bears.
