NHL

The Red Wings edged the Lightning 2-1 last night. Lucas Raymond and Daniel Sprong scored for Detroit. Alex Lyon made 27 saves.

The Wings entertain the Stars tomorrow. Coverage will begin at 6:45 on 99.3 The Lift.

NBA

The Pistons welcome the Bucks tonight. Coverage will start at 6:35 on 99.3 The Lift.

NFL

In NFL playoff action yesterday…
• The Lions advanced with a 31-23 win over the Buccaneers. The game was tied 17-17 at the end of the third quarter. Detroit opened the fourth quarter with two straight touchdowns. Tampa Bay responded with one – the two point conversion failed. After the Lions were forced to punt, Derrick Barnes intercepted a Baker Mayfield pass with 95 seconds remaining to seal the win.
• The Chiefs edged the Bills 27-24.

That sets up the conference championship games next Sunday…
• The Ravens host the Chiefs at 3:00.
• The Lions visit the 49ers at 6:30.
