MLB – Lobstein Flops as Tigers Fall
Kyle Lobstein didn’t make it through the second inning, as the Minnesota Twins bombed the Detroit Tigers 7-1 last night. Lobstein gave up four in the first inning, and was charged with two more in the second. Game details are here.
The Tigers continue that series at Minnesota tonight. Alfredo Simon will start against Phil Hughes. Hear the first pitch at 8:10 on AM 1400 and FM 99.3, WCCY.
The Milwaukee Brewers had yesterday off, and open a home set against the Saint Louis Cardinals tonight. Ariel Pena will pitch against Carlos Martinez.

MTU Soccer Dominates Crookston
The Michigan Tech soccer team blanked Minnesota-Crookston 5-0 yesterday. Lexi Herrewig and Jacqueline Mielke each scored twice, as the Huskies outshot the Golden Eagles 23-5. Full details are here.
The undefeated MTU volleyball team visits Wisconsin-Parkside tonight.
NFL
In last night’s NFL games, the Falcons got past the Eagles 26-24, and the 49ers shut down the Vikings 20-3. If you played The Wolf Pro Football Challenge, you needed to have picked at least 11 games correctly to be eligible to be the weekly winner.
CHA Registration Tonight
Registration for the upcoming Calumet Hockey Association season will be held tonight between 6:00 and 8:00 at the Colosseum.

Jeffers Run Saturday
The 11th annual Jeffers half marathon and 5K run/walk will be held at Jeffers High School on Saturday. Registration begins at 7:00. The half marathon starts at 8:00 and the 5K run/walk at 9:00. The cost is $30.00 for the half-marathon. The 5K costs $15.00, or $50.00 for a group of four.
