NBA
The Toronto Raptors pulled away in the fourth quarter, and defeated the Detroit Pistons 103-89 last night. Ersan Ilyasova led the Pistons with 17 points. The highlight of the game, though, was an 80-foot desperation shot by Andre Drummond as the buzzer sounded at the end of the third quarter that swished through the net for only the third three-pointer of his career. The Pistons entertain the Denver Nuggets tomorrow night.

Martinez

MLB
Outfielder J.D. Martinez has agreed to a two-year deal with the Detroit Tigers. The agreement is reported to be worth more than 18-million dollars. It avoids an arbitration hearing this year, but allows him to become a free agent after the 2017 season.
