– In Class C, Hancock meets Calumet at 7:00 at Hancock. L’Anse faces Ironwood at 7:00 at L’Anse.

Finlandia
The Finlandia University softball team lost its final two games at the Dome Tournament yesterday… falling 10-0 to Lakeland College and 10-4 to Edgewood College yesterday.

NHL
The Detroit Red Wings skate at Dallas tonight. Face-off is at 8:30 on AM 1400 and FM 99.3, WCCY.

NBA
The Detroit Pistons defeated the Toronto Raptors 114-101 last night. Detroit broke open a tight game by outscoring Toronto by 17 points in the third quarter. Reggie Jackson scored 19 for the Pistons, and Andre Drummond had 15 points and 18 rebounds. The Pistons play at San Antonio Wednesday night.

MLB
The Detroit Tigers open spring play with their annual exhibition against Florida Southern University today. Their Grapefruit League schedule begins tomorrow.

Dennis Laboda won his second-straight CopperDog 150 yesterday. Laboda took the first and third stages. He placed second to Martha Schouweiler in the second stage. Schouweiler finished second overall. Among local mushers, Tom Bauer placed 12th… Chad Grentz 14th… and Becky Bean 17th. In the expanded two-stage CopperDog 80, Mallory Sturmer overtook first-leg leader Lynne Witte to earn the victory. Witte finished second. Among local mushers, Kelly Jo Engle placed sixth… Jerry Trudell seventh… Susan Serafini eighth… Shannon Cummings ninth… Adam Schmidt 10th… and 13-year-old Naum Raskin overcame some late problems with his dogs to finish 12th – the youngest competitor in CopperDog history.
