Tanner Kero and Jamie Phillips from the Michigan Tech hockey team have been nominated for this year’s Hobey Baker Award. The Hobey Baker Award goes to the top player in college hockey, based on skill, leadership and character. Kero leads the Huskies in scoring, and Phillips leads NCAA Division One in wins in goal. The initial round of 59 candidates was determined by nominations from Division One head coaches. That group will be reduced to 10 by March 19th. Fans can vote as part of that process. You can cast one vote per day at the Hobey Baker Award website.
