MLB – Angels Bury Tigers
The Detroit Tigers’ struggles continued last night, as they fell to the Los Angeles Angels 8-6. Shane Greene gave up two solo homers in the first inning, and then allowed two more solo homers and a three run shot before leaving with two outs in the second inning. It was the shortest start of his career.

The Tigers have lost six of their last eight games, and conclude that series in Los Angeles tonight. David Price will start against Matt Shoemaker. Hear the first pitch at 8:05 on AM 1400 and FM 99.3 WCCY.

Alfredo Simon will return to the Tigers in time to make his scheduled start on Tuesday. Simon has been at his family home in the Dominican Republic on bereavement leave, following the death of his father.

The Brewers wrap up that home series against the Diamondbacks this afternoon. Tyler Wagner will make his first start for Milwaukee, having been called up from Double-A Biloxi to fill in for the injured Wily Peralta. Chase Anderson will pitch for the D’Backs.

Brewers’ left fielder Khris Davis left yesterday’s game after striking out in the first inning. He later said that he tore the meniscus in his left knee during his final swing. He’ll need surgery to repair it. There’s no timetable for his return.
