High School

In girls basketball regional finals last night…
• In Division Four, Ishpeming eliminated Ewen-Trout Creek 70-42. The Hematites improve to 25-1, and will face Saint Ignace in the quarterfinals. The Saints dispatched Munising 54-33
• In Division Three, West Iron County’s season ended with a 47-43 loss to Elk Rapids.
• In Division Two, Negaunee shut down Ludington 52-35. The Miners improve to 25-1, and will play Flint Powers Catholic in the quarterfinals.

College Hockey

Michigan Tech’s Isaac Gordon has been named the Central Collegiate Hockey Association Rookie of the Year. It’s the second year in a row that a Tech player earned the honor. Kyle Kukkonen won it last year.

NHL

The Red Wings hope to break their six-game losing streak when they welcome the Coyotes tonight. Coverage will begin at 6:45 on 99.3 The Lift.

NBA

The Pistons won their second straight game last night, 113-104 over the Raptors. Jalen Duren dominated the game, with 24 points and 23 rebounds.

The Pistons welcome the Heat tomorrow, with coverage at 6:35 on 99.3 The Lift.

MLB Spring Training

The Tigers lost 4-1 to the Phillies yesterday. Starter Jack Flaherty turned in four strong innings, allowing one hit, and striking out five. Philadelphia plated three runs in the eighth inning off Tyler Holton and Will Vest.

The Tigers will play the Yankees today. Casey Mize will start.

The Brewers suffered an ugly 15-4 loss to the White Sox yesterday. Chicago opened quickly, torching starter Bryse Wilson for 10 runs on 12 hits over three innings.

The Brewers will face the Mariners today. Janson Junk will start.

Milwaukee will play at least half of its season without closer Devin Williams. Williams was diagnosed with two stress fractures in his lower back. No surgery will be needed, but the injury will take at least three months to heal.

NFL

The Packers continue to restructure their roster. Yesterday, they released cornerback De’Vondre Campbell, who had started every game since joining the team in 2021.
